Back in 2007, I gave a reading from “The Firetower” (an earlier iteration of it) at the Four-Eyed Frog bookstore in Gualala, California (www.foureyedfrog.com). The owners, Joel and Jeremy Crockett, were very kind to provide this opportunity to an as yet unpublished novel (and novelist).
